He used to live in the outskirts of Nakuru with his grandmother. His mother is a single mother who has six other children all from different fathers. She used to and still lives a very irresponsible life, hence the infection of the HIV Virus and the reason as to why Josiah and the siblings were being taken care of by their grandmother. Considering that she is over 80 years, it proved hard for her to provide for the grandchildren, so Josiah opted to drop out of school and do casual jobs mostly looking after other people’s cows at his tender age, so that he could provide for their basic needs. Its has been very difficult to take care of him because he needs a lot of food supplements due to his HIV infections. Josiah is very positive a bout life and working very hard to achieve his dream of becoming a pilot. He is in class eight in Living Fountain Academy.
